Guest sentiment

"My friends and I found this Sam Poh Restaurant in Tambun, Ipoh, which is a stone's throw from our Palazzo Condo. We ate here on Labour Day, in the air conditioned section of the restaurant, which was full of patrons. We were attended to in a very short while and the food came in a jiffy. We ate some less spicy dishes for a late lunch. Our meal consisted of Fried Prawns with mayonnaise, Steamed sliced fish, Sizzling Japanese tauhu, Spinach Soup with Gojiberries, egg foo yong and some herbal drinks. Our ratings are as follows: 1. Fried Prawns with mayonnaise 8/10 2. Steamed sliced fish 8/10 3, Sizzling Japanese Tauhu 8/10 4 Spinach Soup with Gojiberries 8/10 5 Egg foo yong 8/10 The bill came to RM 99 for 3 pax. Worth visiting again here."
"Our weekend trip to Ipoh, we had 2 meals here 1st meal for dinner, we ordered their black fish which was quite sandy and totally not nice 2nd meal for lunch was awesome We always order bittergourd with salted egg, ham yue fa lam pou, marmite chicken, yam basket, home made tofu and veg Not our 1st time here. Recommended to book a place to avoid disappointment. Plenty of parking"
"Who doesn’t love a good ‘tai chow’ place? Well, Sam Poh is definitely top on my list when I’m in Ipoh. Situated in Tambun (just a little further down from Ipoh Garden East), this place is simple and fuss-free with an air-conditioned section available. Honestly, the fried rice was incredible. The rest of the dishes were super yummy too. And the best part? The price!!! Very reasonable for such portions."
"For me is a bit too much oil. Taste good & fish is fresh"
"Food is great and restaurant has 2 sections . One with air con and one is outdoor without air con. We love the Curry slice fish . Really lemak and not spicy . And this dish is super appetizing. Price is reasonable too . 7 of us and 6 dishes it’s only Rm228 . Service is fast and good too . White rice is just the normal one not the fragrant type ."
"We dropped by this place for dinner. It was quite full but they found us a table. We ordered several dishes, all of which tasted good especially the tofu and yam ring. Unfortunately there were a lot of flies, so the staff lit some candles at our table, which solved the issue. Prices were reasonable and we had an enjoyable meal here."
"Lady was very nice and helpful. Delicious home cooked Cantonese food, we ordered all plates in small and portions were quite big. Honey chicken was amazing, sweet and sour good but could have skipped for other dish. Steamed Egg dish was very smooth and light and nice"
"Food is good. You've got to try the pork knuckle. Loved that. Vege dishes, steamed fish, fried rice - everything deserves a thumbs up. The only problem is flies. Lots of them buzzing around. Another problem, if you're seated outside, is the heat. And passing cars or cars parked with engine running. This spoils the atmosphere rating."
